Ernst van Bruggen
Ernst is a consulting actuary in the Amsterdam office of Milliman. He is responsible for the maintenance and development of the quality of valuations and reports for pension accounting purposes in the Netherlands.
Experience
Ernst has worked for more than 20 years in the financial and consulting industry. His specialty is in the area of public pension accounting. This covers local pension accounting by pension funds (RJ610) and by companies (RJ271) as well as international pension accounting by companies (e.g., IAS19, ASC715). Additionally, Ernst provides consulting and certification activities for pension funds, assists companies and workers' councils on pension issues (such as plan design and plan changes), and helps companies and pension funds evaluate the cost structure of and/or profit-sharing arrangements in (re)insurance contracts.
Ernst has published various articles on pension accounting issues.
